Stade Storms to Victory at Sauble Speedway Opener

Saturday May 31st the Josh Stade Racing team went home to Sauble Speedway for opening night. 

This was used as a learning night to prepare for the rest of the races at Sauble this summer as this MRE car has never seen this speedway before. 

In a stout field of cars we would use 2 practise sessions to try to quickly learn what the 17 would need. 

After practise we were around 5th quickest. We would then do group qualifying and finish that out in 2nd place. 

The dice roll inversion had us start the feature 4th. The front couple of cars touched one another a couple of times and at the start of the race the outside line would not go. We fell quickly back to 6th place where we could tuck in single file patiently awaiting for the car to come in. After about 20 laps of running we were challenging for the lead. Once we took the lead we never looked back having to control 2 restarts due to cautions. 

After 50 laps the 17 would cross the stripe on P1 and winning opening night at the Beach.
